Hi,

I am new to DRDB so there is an awful lot I need to learn.

I've seen this question posed in a different context in older posts but did not see a definitive answer. During initialization (if that is what is happening) is there some type of identifier that tells DRBD that a 2 devices are member of the same resource? In other words does DRBD write anything to the shared devices beyond just replication data?

Thanks in advance.

There are meta-data that are written in the end the same device, or
some other.

BTW, this mailing list is about the DRBD graphical user interfaces, so if
you have general questions about DRBD, you'd better ask in the drbd-user
mailing list.
